Backup Verification
All data sent off-site from Datto Aurora devices
is regularly verified by off-site systems to ensure
it is in a usable state. Regular checks verify
that all off-site data is secure and in a complete
state ready to be restored in a moments notice.
No “Backup Image Chain”
Unlike ShadowProtect based BDR solutions, Aurora
does not have an image chain that grows in size
indefinitely. Auroraʼs retention policies allow
for rolling retention timeframes without the need
to ever perform a new full backup. As backups
age the chain is automatically pruned back deleting
unnecessary data as needed.
Granular SharePoint Recovery
Datto Aurora devices are capable of granular
Sharepoint recovery making it easy to recover
individual documents quickly and easily from a
Sharepoint repository.
